Effects on blood pressure of reduced dietary sodium and the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet.

This multicenter controlled trial demonstrated that diet treatment with a low sodium diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and low-fat dairy products (DASH diet) had pharmacological effects in lowering blood pressure of hypertensives.
